Adventure Club Returns - Sunday, February 28

The next adventure club is coming back to Carkeek Park with the bloom of the indian plum. We will explore the trails and beach, learn about local flora and fauna and have fun! Come prepared to walk down to the water and maybe even splash around. Activities will be geared towards children 5-10, but everyone is welcome. There is a suggested donation of $5/child, and we will meet by the shelter by the salmon slide and picnic tables. The club will run from 10:00 until around 11:30, though you are welcome to stay as long as you like. If you are interested in attending, or have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. I hope to see you there!

Adventure Club - Coming Soon

Mark your calendars: july 18

Carkeek Park: Scavenger Hunt and Tidepool Exploration

Meet at the shelter by the picnic tables and the salmon slide at 9:30 am. We will embark on a scavenger hunt for local flora and fauna before heading down to the beach. At the beach we will look closely at tide pools and see what's inside. Bring comfortable shoes for the trail, and the rocks on the beach. You might get wet, so it's always a good idea to have an extra set of clothes on hand. Feel free to stay to the end, 11:30 pm, or leave whenever you are ready. Activities will be geared towards children 5-10, but everyone is welcome. Suggested donation, $5/child.
